Note for Sam, remove before launch: the privacy policy currently on janvey.com is the unmodified WordPress sample template. It describes blog comments, Gravatar, and article-editing cookies, none of which exist on your site, and it never mentions your contact form. This replacement describes what the new site actually does. It is written in plain language rather than as a legal instrument — have counsel review it before launch, particularly if you handle any customer data subject to contractual or healthcare confidentiality obligations.
This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers janvey.com only. Our online store at store.janvey.com runs on a separate platform with its own account handling and privacy terms.
What we collect
This site does not require an account and does not track you across the web. There are two ways information reaches us:
- The contact form. When you submit it, we receive the name, company, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to include about your facility and requirements.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
What we do with it
We use contact form submissions to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to quote and service your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without you asking us to.
Third-party services on this site
- Netlify hosts this website and processes contact form submissions.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used here, which involves a request to Google’s servers.
- Google Maps is embedded on the contact and industries pages. Loading a map involves a request to Google, subject to Google’s own privacy terms.
Each of these receives technical request data in the ordinary course of serving content.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded third-party content, such as the Google Maps frame, may set its own cookies when it loads.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business correspondence. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@janvey.com and we will action it.
