Isaac Janvey opened a bicycle repair shop in Hempstead in 1913. Four generations later, I. Janvey & Sons supplies, services, and trains facilities across Long Island, the five boroughs, and up into the Hudson Valley.

The reason that history matters isn't sentiment. It's that a century of supplier relationships is what lets us bundle across our manufacturer lines, hold a 98% fill rate, and send a factory-certified technician instead of a call center.

Two companies, one operation

I. Janvey & Sons is the distribution and equipment side — product lines, bundling, equipment sales, and in-house service. Professional Maintenance of Long Island is the cleaning side, running healthcare-grade programs in hospitals, medical offices, schools, and commercial buildings.

They share leadership, a building, and a supply chain. That's why a PMLI account never waits on a distributor, and why a distribution customer can borrow expertise from crews doing the work every night.

The Holbrook facility

Our move to Holbrook was an investment in doing more of the work ourselves — warehouse capacity for same-day fulfilment, an equipment bay where Nilfisk and Taski certified technicians repair machines rather than shipping them out, and a training room where crews learn on the equipment they'll actually be using.

Where we're going

We're expanding across Long Island and the outer boroughs, taking on more compliance-heavy facilities, and investing in the training and equipment service capacity that keeps standards from slipping when staff turns over.
