OUR STORY

FOUR GENERATIONS OF EXCELLENCE

From Isaac’s bike shop to Long Island’s most trusted facility partner

When Isaac Janvey opened a bicycle repair shop in Hempstead in 1913, he understood something that still drives us today: business is personal, trust is local, and the best partners know what you need before you do.

Over four generations, we’ve evolved from that humble repair shop into Long Island’s most comprehensive facility partner. I. Janvey & Sons has built deep supplier relationships and distribution expertise, while Professional Maintenance of Long Island (PMLI) has developed specialized cleaning services and compliance capabilities. Together, these complementary strengths serve our shared mission.

We operate like a century-old startup—combining generational wisdom with modern momentum to give business more doors to tomorrow. Our new Holbrook facility represents our investment in Long Island’s future: modern efficiency with hometown accessibility.

To honor our legacy and continue our community commitment, we established the Bruce H. Janvey Memorial Golf Tournament in partnership with City of Hope, raising funds for cancer research while bringing together the industry partners, suppliers, and customers who make our work meaningful.
